We,
Utkal Handicapped Welfare Organisation, a Not for Profit Organisation operating in the state of Odisha are dedicated for the cause of Disability Rehabilitation.
Our Organisation works to attain the objectives envisaged under Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 as enacted by Govt. of India, having the core vision “To Build an Inclusive Society in which Equal Opportunities are Provided for the Growth and Development of Persons with Disabilities, so that they can Lead Productive, Safe and Dignified Lives”.
The focus area of our activities is to impart Special Education to the Children with Special Needs in the category of Visual Impairment and Hearing Impairment in particular. We run Special Schools for the PwD children with Visual Impairment and Hearing Impairment from Elementary level to Secondary level.
Further, with a view to create Human Resources like Special Educators through its Teacher Training Centres in Special Education, we are conducting RCI Approved Diploma level Teacher Training Courses in Visual Impairment and Hearing Impairment to serve in the field of special education for children with disabilities and in inclusive set up as well.
Our other activities like Community Based Rehabilitation, Childhood Interventions and Assessments, Clinical and Therapeutic Services etc. for the Persons with Disabilities make our Organisation, a distinct Service Providing Hub.

We respect for the Evolving Capacities of Children with Disabilities and Respect for the Right of Children with Disabilities to Preserve their Identities through Early Intervention, Special and Inclusive Education, Training, Employable Skilling, Empowerment and Other Rehabilitative Services for robust mainstreaming
