Rajadhani School for the Deaf

Rajadhani School for the Deaf was established in the year 1993 under the management of Utkal Handicapped Welfare Organisation and has obtained Recognition from SSEPD Department (erstwhile W&CD Department), Govt of Odisha to impart Special Education to children having Hearing Impairment. Children with varied degrees of hearing impairment starting from mild, moderate to profound categories having benchmark disability certification are given admission here. SSEPD Department Govt of Odisha provides Grant-in-Aid support to our Special School.  Eligible Students across the state can take admission in our special school free of cost through state admission portal of SSEPD Department.    Barrier free environment and hostel facilities are made availablr.   A student necessarily has to have an Disability Certificate Issued by competent Medical Board and enrolled in UDID Swabalamvan Portal.  The Special School has teaching facilities from Pre School to Class X.  The main  method of teaching is Structured Oral approach and Sign Language .  At present there are 74 hearing impaired stdents are studying in this school in residential mode.
